Considering the deep bass extension and thunderous SPL output without sacrificing musicality, PB-1000 defies expectations at every level. The front-firing driver features dual high-grade ferrite magnets and FEA-optimized internal motor technology that enable extreme excursion for high output with extremely low distortion. Performance of the 10-inch driver rivals that of 12 and 15-inch drivers housed in much larger cabinets.

The lightweight cone material of the SVS PB-1000 long-stroke driver reproduces massive LFEs and subtle music tones with lifelike realism, making the subwoofer a perfect option for both home theater and music lovers. Durable rubber surrounds also ensure long-lasting performance, even when the ported subwoofer is pushed to its performance limits for extended periods of time.
Powerful and Sophisticated Sledge STA-300D Amplifier
Driving the PB-1000 ported subwoofer is an integrated SVS Sledge STA-300D amplifier with a sophisticated DSP perfectly matched to the unique ported cabinet configuration, and an equalization curve optimized for enhanced transient response and room gain. Conservatively rated at 300 watts RMS and 700+ watts peak power, the Sledge amplifier maintains precise control of the subwoofer at all drive levels so you can push to reference volumes and maintain accuracy in frequency response. Challenge the PB-1000 with the most challenging musical bassline or soundtrack and it stays true to the source content without compromise. The advanced DSP engine also allows for fine tuning of audio playback and easy set-up and integration into any home theater or stereo system.
When it comes to filling out the lower octaves of our favorite audio content, few, if any, ported subwoofers approach what the SVS PB-1000 achieves for the price. Its ability to convey the chest-thumping slam and room pressurizing LFEs, and also subtle and nuanced bass in music, TV and movie soundtracks defies expectations for a level of performance previously reserved for much larger reference subwoofers.
Sonically Inert and Rigidly Braced Cabinet
Rounded edges and a fabric grille cover on the SVS PB-1000 cabinet give it a refined look that blends visually with home theaters and high-end audio systems. I usually play main theme of Blade Runner on new subs. Sounds great. I am also glad that the peak power of this sub is at about 700W as people like me do not see a need for 1500W or higher subs which I need to dedicate a whole electric line for. PB-1000 is enough to make my living room rumble, so why load my circuit which I need to plug in more devices? Fits my needs just great.

I was really surprised the difference it made in my system. The sub paired nicely with my Majik 109 bookshelf speakers. I received the wrong power cord but I had a backup and customer service responded quickly to get me a replacement. I'm still trying to figure out the best place for my listening room. I would recommend to check the dimensions. This is much larger than I had imagined. It looked smaller in the pictures.

Shipping was fast. Packing was great, double boxed and easy to open. Great sub for the money no question. Plan on getting another. Greatly increased the movie and music experience. A no brainer.
US80's New Audiobasehead
Picked up the PB1000 today for my bedroom to replace a sad little Definitive Technology Prosub 1000 that never satisfied me at all. Have been learning about SVS for years and finally decided to buy the cheap one while it was on-sale. Noticed that the box looked like it had seen some water at one point and it looked ratty and old but overlooked it since I was beyond excited to be finally getting an SVC sub. Hooked it up and was enjoying the hell out of it at low levels until such time as I feel that it won't hurt it to turn it up a bit. Sadly after maybe an hour of clean deep bass audio nirvana it lost about 90% of its ability to play bass! I immediately hooked it up to the system in the living room and same thing! I was half sick after wanting one for at least 10 years with plans on getting 2 Ultras for the living room after getting comfortable with this model. I loaded it up and returned it for an exchange for the only one they had left. This time the box looked pristine. Brought it home and have been enjoying it for the past 3 hours at low levels but even at low levels in my bedroom it sounds and feels amazing Well 2 has to sound and feel even better so I just ordered a second one, a splitter and a sub cable to run 2 of these in my bedroom! I am like a little kid at Christmas! Can't wait to hear 2 together and in a few months at least one but probably 2 of the Ultras in the living room!
