United States$30,000 speakers vs SVS Ultra setup
It took me a while to get to writing this review. Reason being, I wanted to write a review only after I've spent some decent time with these speakers. I've listened to a variety of music, watched several movies, toed-them-in and again, and again.... and again until I've got them to perfect. SVS Ultras had a difficult task to get to the perfect state. They had to compete with a full pipe organ (yeah, the Cathedral sized one) that was truly mesmerizing to hear and a set of $30k speakers in a treated room with cables as thick as my arm. Well, guess what? They DELIVERED! They delivered in all categories. I was able to reproduce the pipe organ music to a point when people listen, they have goose-bumps; when bass kicks in, pretty much everyone drops their jaw and says, "wow". They delivered when compared to 30k speakers. I know, I know, some sceptics are probably rolling their eyes right about now. Sorry to disappoint, but it is true and Ultras are that good. Here is another bit... those 30k speakers were set up in a high-end music store, treated room, fancy-looking thick cables, super nice DAC with loseles Qobuz audio, the whole 9-yards... vs what I have at home in an unfinished basement in a less than optimal space. And even then, SVS Ultras were on par and sounded as good and at times better. I don't know what sorcery, fairy dust or unicorn-horn made tweeters SVS uses in their engineering/production cycle, but these speakers are simply brilliant. Perhaps the $1,299.99 price tag was a typo, and in that case, too bad SVS, but I am not returning these. If you haven't tried them, you OWE it to yourself, otherwise, it will always be in the back of your mind..... "what if". Brilliantly done, SVS. Hat's off to you.

My first set of real speakers and I love them. Can't wait to finish my set up.
USFantastic sound!!
I had to wait to write this until the Ultra Surrounds arrived. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It seems that the sound encompasses the room so much more than my prior system. In stereo mode, the towers are fantastic. Good sound range from top to bottom. Listening to movies is fantastic, clear voices, great mid-range and pretty good base even without my subs. Was watching golf and when the clubs rattled in the bag, it sounded just like as if you were on the course with your own clubs, just great clear sound. SVS support has been great and very helpful as well. I definitely recommend the speakers as well as the company. Now my only question is how long I should wait before getting some SVS subs. Wish I had just a little more space in my room to fit in the subs better.
USStill in the box
Please let me setup everything with room treatments (try me in 90 days) and I can give you a review that counts. Overall your speakers and amplifiers are built to what I would call military specification PLUS. Packaging and finish are outstanding. This is coming from a die hard Polk Audio enthusiast and turned down the Polk Audio Legend line for this setup.
